Can anyone relate???

So here is what is up with my life... I am a 24-7 mommy who gets little sleep, changes lots of mustard colored poops, gets eye boogers dislodged daily, needs to lift weights to be strong enough to carry a car seat and a diaper bag, feeds the baby 6 times a day and at 2 pm wonder why I haven't eaten, and gets spit up on at least 17 times a day (exaggeration).

Its not just all eye boogers and poop, there are significant perks...

you know, smiles and giggles and uncommonly loud toots for a person a mere 13 pounds.

Have you ever lost yourself in something even if it is a good something?
I easily loose myself in mommyhood. Its a lot of hard loving work and occasionally I forget about ..me.
Eden has been napping for almost 3 hours right now....

Her usual naps normally last 20 min... and I don't know what to do with myself. I had just been filling the space with random unimportant activity waiting for her to suddenly wake when I decided I should paint my nails... still significantly unimportant but at least I'll feel like I did something for me.
OH, and earlier, I DID put on makeup (See). Yup, its true. But, my pajamas ARE still on...

does that negate the makeup?
You see my problem????

Yay! Brent just got home I think I will go and do something outside of these four walls

.... crap, it's snowing.

Sounds pretty normal! Haha I do have to say though that I get very good sleep at night but for some reason I am still so tired. On the days that I don't work I am lucky if I get a shower and put sweats back on. We should go to lunch sometime and catch up! It has been way too long!

I think all of the mommies of the world can relate....but hey-MAKEUP that's good stuff...funny how unimportant it seems now-huh? Well, all I can say is that at some point it WILL stop snowing and u WILL find ur own little schedule and it WILL include leaving the house everyday!!! It just depends on what ur willing to do/put into it and it takes time...don't worry, jammies are a mom's best friend-and makeup well that's just icing on the cake!

Our lives are so different, yet I see so many similarities. You are the cutest mom. And a good mommy too!

Boy, does that sound familiar! I often think of all the things I'd like to accomplish, but I'm kinda lost in being a stay at home mom of 2 crazy/fun...kids. The hardest part is making yourself a priority every once in a while, doing what you love to do. Easier said than done, but it is true. After I take some time out for myself, I come back more focused, motivated to do better, more patient, loving, and compassionate. Find a babysitter and go get a pedicure, or go to lunch with a friend/or Brent...and by taking/needing a break, that doesn't mean you don't love and want to be with Eden. It just means you love and want to take car of her mom too :) Wow, that was lengthy...maybe I should take my own advice ;)

I know how you feel. One thing that helps me is if I get up in the mornings before Elizabeth does and take time to exercise and shower and stuff. When I do that, I feel like I'm still me, and not just a mommy.

Is it sad that I don't have a child and can never seem to manage to put the makeup on???

You look gorgeous btw. Loves xoxo

This post made me feel a lot better today...I'd been feeling bad about not working out and eating healthy...not to mention wearing pj's everyday. Plus obsessing over the smallest accomplishments of my 4 cute kids while completely forgetting that maybe I should work on some of my own as well. But isn't teaching 3 little speckled frogs and choreographing a dance to it involving Ashlynn's star leap from the couch, Taidan's near neck-breaking dive from the couch, and Brynlee's pretty much just sitting down and sliding off performance quite an accomplishment when you count that I not only nursed the entire time, but I also managed to keep the little stars from fighting and we pulled off the performance with rave reviews from the audience of 1 very biased daddy...well, thanks for reminding me that it's ok to get lost in mommy-hood, because it's a messy job (eg. mustard poo and eye boogers) but someone's got to do it ;)and I love the job...most days
