goodbye and hello

A few months ago I got my first set of scriptures with my new married name on them. I love my married name and when I got married I was more than happy to ditch my maiden name especially since my new name came with this super amazing and hot boy.
My old set of scriptures was the last thing with my maiden name on it. I decided to finish the Book of Mormon from where I was at before I made the switch. Now I am just a few pages away from being done and I am realizing how much this book and I have been through. How much it has carried me through.   I am not a perfect person and I don't ever expect to be but by reading, praying and studying this book I have been able to come closer to God than I ever thought possible. My life is scribbled in the margins of the pages. I have never loved a book more. And now I get to make a fresh start with my new name copy (which organizing/post-it/highlighting loving me should be excited for, right?) and I feel a bit sad saying goodbye.
I love the scriptures. If there was a fire I know the first object I would grab.
I know that the Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ. It draws me to him.
A few days ago we had a Family Home Evening with Eden and it was about the scriptures. I could hold them up and show her and say, "This is mommy and daddy's favorite book". I hope one day she will know the power that comes from reading the word of God.
It has changed me forever and is still changing me everyday.

I really love this! It feels good to hear a simple and beautiful testimony of the Book of Mormon! I still have my first set of scriptures and I can relate to how you feel.
